Life in the Nuthouse

I posted this, because I felt that it deserved it’s own entry. Last weekend, my friend Meka participated in a state karioke competition, and…drumroll please…she won second place. This is very good news, because she gets to go to Albuquerque–my old stompint ground–on August 7th and 8th to participate in the regionals. So if anyone is interested in watching her awesome performances, they’re right here for your listening pleasure.

Since I now have an extra five or so hours a day to myself, I made promises that I would do the following things:
Listen to more of my friends’ internet radeo shows,
Read more books,
IM, call, and skype more with sed friends,
and more, which I won’t list here.
So tonight, my friend Shannon was doing a radeo show that specializes in Women in music. I’d been wanting to check this out, but I was either in class, or out of the country. Tonight, I was home, I was free, and I had winamp at my finger tips, so I turned it on. She did a one-hour feature on the indigo girls. I’d heard a lot about them over the years, but believe it or not, had never been exposed to their music. I found that I liked most of their songs, but the one I especially liked was called Fleat of Hope. As I listened to the song, It reminded me of my love for water and the ocean, and how there are times when I wish I still had some sotr of body of water near by to invelop and calm me when things get too rough or stressful. After all, in chinese medicine, the water personality is the one who is deep, calm, and introspective. So I am going to post this video I found, and I hope you all enjoy it.
